Rather than competing against each other High Street Bank brands have started to collaborate by sharing physical branch premises. BankHub is pushing the boundaries of the future of physical banking and now operates two pilot schemes in Rochford in Essex and Cambuslang near Glasgow.
BankHub enables five major banks to collaborate and all operate out of a single shared physical high street branch.
On Monday, its staffed by NatWest, on Tuesday by Lloyds, on Wednesday by Santander, on Thursday by Barclays before ending the week on Friday by HSBC.
It’s a really simple idea to continue to support the local community with much needed local everyday banking. If successful, then they intend to roll out further locations across the country.
