In a week where property-backed lending to date on its platform passed the £25m mark, Proplend has been shortlisted for Best Peer to Peer Lending Platform at the 2017 Shares Awards.
Voted for by Shares Awards Magazine readers, the awards aim to recognise the high quality of service and products from retail investment companies. Voting has now closed with winners for Best P2P Platform and 30 categories in total due to be announced at a gala ceremony at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, London Park Lane on 2 November.
2017 has been a record year to date for Proplend in terms of new lending facilitated and secondary market activity. The peer to peer property platform introduced an online portal for advisers and wealth managers earlier in the year and in February received full FCA authorisation to pave the way to launch an Innovative Finance ISA.
Proplend’s flexible IFISA enables ‘Lenders’ to withdraw funds from their ISA and return funds up to this amount within the same tax year without the returned amount(s) being treated as new subscriptions. Loan investment income is earned tax free with no limits and charges for ISA transfers in or out.
All loans listed on Proplend’s platform are backed by UK commercial property and must satisfy strict borrowing criteria and due dilligence checks. To date no Proplend loans have defaulted and there have been no investor losses.
The £25m+ lending offered to commercial borrowers through the platform includes a range of securing property types, loan amounts, terms, LTVs, repayment strategies and property locations across England and Wales.
Already Proplend has helped provide crucial funding for an array of borrower circumstances, as well as some of the safest peer to peer investment opportunities available in the UK.
