If you think you are seeing more and more Deliveroo and Just Eat drivers scootering around with their highly coloured food container bags, you would be right.
Figures from the latest GCA & Slerp Hospitality Report show that despite restrictions on indoor dining being lifted in July, takeaways and especially deliveries are still accounting for a significant share of restaurant and pub groups operations.
The figures show that whilst there has been an expected increase in eating out, home deliveries have maintained a 20.5% share month on month. Even with restrictions being lifted it is clear that consumer demand has shifted to either dine or entertain at home.
